The author, Charles Wilson, is a resident of the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Wilson is a former journalist and Seattle resident. Like many others in the region and indeed around the country, Mr. Wilson was captivated by the drama that unfolded in southwestern Oregon in late November, and saddened by the loss of life there.
Charles Wilson believes that the narrative that forms the core of this website is the true account of what happened based on the information available. Mr. Wilson had a forum online attached to this web site for three months accepting feedback and suggestions from anyone. This narrative, and website, represents an effort to make sense of what happened and ultimately to see something constructive emerge from the death of one man and the discussion it has inspired.
